SAGE and PAGE Homeschool Cooperative
We who serve the Lord at SAGE and PAGE are committed to this Statement of Faith by which we live and teach.
The Holy Bible is God’s only inspired, infallible, authoritative, written Word. Nothing can be added or taken away from it. It is the final authority for our faith and life. (2 Tim 3:16; Rev 22:18-19; Heb 4:12)
God is the sovereign creator and governor of the universe; God is revealed in three persons as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Matt 3:16-17, 28:19; Eph 2:18)
Man was made in God’s image, yielded to temptation, fell out of fellowship with God, and reaped the consequences of that sin (death). (Gen 1:26-27; Rom 3:23, 6:23)
Jesus is the Messiah, the Savior by whom all may be saved. He is God in the flesh and is both divine and human. He was born of a virgin and fulfilled or will fulfill every Biblical prophecy in His first and second coming. He lived a sinless life, performed many miracles, taught us how to be in right relationship with the Father, shed His blood for our atonement, and became the perfect sacrifice for our sins, taking our punishment upon Himself. He was resurrected after His death and ascended to the Father. He is man’s only means of salvation from sin and its everlasting punishment. His atonement is available to all men, women and children who repent and walk in a personal, heart-felt faith with Him. (Eph 1:3-5; Rom 5:111; Acts 4:12; 1Pet 1:18-19; Luke 4:21, 24:38-43; John 20:24-29)
Jesus is the perfect revelation of God’s grace, mercy and love; our salvation is by grace and not by works. (Eph 2:6-10; Rom 5:1; Acts 3:19-20)
Christ will come a second time in bodily form to judge the world and claim His bride, the Church. We look forward to His powerful and glorious reign here on earth. (1Thes 4:16-17; Rev 1:17)
All men will be physically resurrected; the lost will be eternally punished in hell and the saved will be eternally blessed in heaven. (John 14:1-3; Rev 20:11-15)
The Holy Spirit, Third Person of the Godhead, took up his residence on earth on the day of Pentecost and is active in the world today. The Spirit seals the believer at new birth and dwells within Christians, enabling them to live a godly life and empowering them to be witnesses. We believe in both the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit.
The Bride of Christ, the Church, is empowered to carry out the Savior’s great commission, to preach the Gospel of liberty to all men and nations, and to bring His healing message of the unity of all believers. (John 17:22-23; Acts 1:8, 2:1-4; Gal 5:22; 1Cor 12:1-11)
Each human being is created in the image of God as either male or female, a gender that is encoded genetically and manifested physiologically prior to birth. Any effort to violate the creative order of God by attempting to modify or transform human gender is sin.
Marriage is the union of one man and one woman. The family units thus formed on these principles provide the foundation of civil society. Since marriage is biblically defined as between one man and one woman, all other unions are sinful. Persons engaged in such violations of God’s Law should be lovingly called to turn from their sin and seek forgiveness through repentance and faith in Christ.
