LAB - Each week we will have a hands on experience to enhance the lecture. We explore bacteria, botany, cellular
structure and anatomy. We dissect at least 12 different specimens, grow our own bacteria, use microscopes, and use a life size skeleton to learn our bones.

Description: We will explore the characteristics of the elements that make up our world and how
they interact with each other. We will learn about the history of many great front runner scientists as they made discoveries and developed many of the products we use today. We will learn the
Gas laws, formulas, balance equations, and the periodic table of elements. Section reviews for each chapter will be completed weekly. The tests for this class are open book/take home. Copies of
the test will be provided in class.
LAB - Each week we will have a Lab experiment that will correlate with and enhance each lecture/ Chapter of the text. We
will look at key concepts and draw conclusions into everyday life. We will experience slow, precise reactions and sometimes very explosive ones.
